Men's Physique

Men’s Physique rewards an athletic, aesthetically balanced physique with a strong emphasis on overall symmetry, structure, lean muscularity, and proportionate muscle development.
Unlike Bodybuilding, Men’s Physique does not require the same level of muscle mass or extreme leanness.
Competitors wear board shorts during competition.
In all quarter turns, one hand must remain on the hip to clearly distinguish the category from Bodybuilding.
Bodybuilding-style poses are not permitted.
Judging is based on the following criteria:
Overall symmetry and structure • Appropriate muscularity and conditioning • Low body fat • A tight, narrow waist • A clearly defined V-taper • Well-developed abdominal definition • Stage presence and presentation • Overall aesthetic appeal
Mandatory Poses
During prejudging, competitors will be evaluated on the following three mandatory poses:
Front Pose • Side Pose • Back Pose
