In Bodybuilding, judging is based on a series of mandatory poses.

Through these poses, judges evaluate not only the development of individual muscle groups, but also the overall balance and completeness of the physique.

Competitors wear traditional bodybuilding posing trunks.

Judging is based on the following criteria:

Overall muscularity and impact • Muscle separation and low body fat • Definition and conditioning • Proportion and balance of all muscle groups • Symmetry • Posing presentation and execution.

Mandatory Poses

Front Double Biceps • Front Lat Spread • Left Side Chest • Back Double Biceps • Back Lat Spread • Right Side Chest • Abdominals and Thigh • Side Triceps (either side) • Most Muscular Pose

ー Judged in Two Rounds ー

Prejudging
  • Competitors are evaluated through lineup comparisons.
  • If there are more than 10 competitors, only the top 10 will advance to the Final Round.
  • Excessive pre-action movements may result in point deductions.
Final Round
  • A Free Posing Routine will be performed.
  • The duration of the Free Posing Routine varies by event. Please be sure to check the event guidelines in advance.
  • ​The Free Posing Routine is judged on overall presentation, including muscular development, stage presence, and routine composition.
